Course for Middle Leaders in Post Primary Schools

We are delighted that Harry Freeman will be joining us for 3 evenings in the Spring to run his extremely popular The Role of the Middle Leader in the Post Primary School course for post-primary teachers.

This course runs over 3 evenings: Monday Februrary 25th, Monday March 4th & Monday March 11th

Target Group:  Teachers who currently hold or aspire to positions of leadership in post primary schools


The course will address the following themes:

  • Defining Middle Leadership
  • Models of Leadership and their application
  • Establishing and creating a vision for the role of middle leader
  • Leading teams
  • Planning
  • Managing meetings
  • Managing conflict
  • Preparing for Interviews


The course will have a practical focus and will provide opportunities for participants to engage in discussion and share good practice.

The course is facilitated by Harry Freeman. Harry's experience of providing CPD is extensive, having worked with school leaders and teachers in over 450 schools since 1998. Currently Harry holds the position of  Strand Leader of the Positive Behaviour Management strand of the Master  in Education Programme in Trinity College, Dublin. He has designed and developed this course and has been lecturing on it since 2008. Harry offers consultancy services to support teachers in all areas of classroom practice.
