Getting to grips with assessment. How are you measuring up ?

Dr. Suzanne Parkinson, Educational Psychologist, author of ‘My Learner ID’ and lecturer in educational psychology in MIC presents two afternoon sessions on Assessment. You must attend both sessions.

Session Content:

*Overview of current policy and cutting edge practice with regard to exemplar models of assessment practices in schools.

* Explore a range of assessment methodologies for use in primary schools e.g. ecological analysis, observational methodologies, fluency probes, standardised testing, assessment for & as learning, open ended assessment methodologies, eliciting the voice of the learner - My Learner ID, tracking progression, data mining and whole school data analyses.

Consider a range of assessment methodologies for use in primary / secondary schools with a specific focus on formative assessment – assessment for learning; assessment as learning; use of rubrics and eliciting the voice of the learner.
