Write a Book

Galway Education Support Centre continues to support the implementation of the Primary Language Curriculum in local primary schools. The Write-A-Book Initiative supports the achievement of learning outcomes in oral language and reading as writing is part of the language learning process. It is important that students are given opportunities to engage actively and collaboratively in analysing, interpreting and constructing a variety of genres. This year has incorporated the use of digital technologies to record and support the drafting, editing, illustrating, presentation, evaluation and publication of the child's own book.
